I finished this all white quilt for my MIL. It was my first time piecing triangles and it was the first project I made on my new Husqvarna Viking sewing machine :) Which I LOVE! The triangles gave me a little bit of grief but I think it still turned out well. I'm pretty proud of it! My picture is shown in Black & White because I couldn't get the lighting to turn out quite right, but the actual colors were white with grey print.
I also helped my mom re-do her Christmas decorations this year. Here are some selected pictures of the pillows I put together for her. It took me almost a month and lots of hours on my new machine, but I think it was totally worth it and I'm really happy with how they turned out.
I've also joined Pinterest recently, which has NOT been good for my productivity! I've gotten caught up in a lot of the DIY projects out there and have had a hard time prioritizing. Here is evidence of my first experience with chalkboard paint. I bought these metal trays at Hobby Lobby and painted them with the black paint. I am really excited about them! They will make great serving trays for entertaining. I made a few extra, so you can see them here in my Etsy shop for sale! I know the pictures are pretty terrible, but my husband currently has custody of our Canon SLR, so I'm having to take pictures on my iPhone. That's all for now! I have a few projects in progress, and will update with more soon!
